Dua lipa is an English artist and singer who was born on the 22nd of August 1995 in London. After working as a fashion model and songwriter, she was able to sign with Warner Bros Records and release her first album. The album peaked at the number three spot on the U.K. albums chart and was awash with eight singles. This included one of them being the U.K. top-ten single New Rules and Be the One I.D.G.A.F. Lipa won the Brit Awards as a British female solo artists and British breaking-through act in the year of 2018. Her album was certified platinum across the world. Dua Lipa was born in London on 22 August 1995 to Kosovo Albanian parents Anesa Rexha and Dukagjin Lipa. The maternal grandparents of her are Bosnian. It is possible to trace her ancestors back to Peja which is a city located in Kosovo. Both of her grandparents were historians. They have a brother Gjin Lipa and a sister Rina. Lipa's father, who was a musician and lead singer from the Kosovan band Oda was a major influence on her music. Her father played music at home, and included songs by David Bowie Bob Dylan Radiohead The Police Stereophonics. Lipa began to sing when she was only six years old.
